MS CLINICAL TRIAL APPLICATIONS OPEN TO SASKATCHEWAN PATIENTS

January 12, 2012 - Premier Brad Wall announced today that Dr. Gary Siskin of the Albany Medical Centre is in the final stages of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the largest Liberation Therapy clinical trial of its type, and that Saskatchewan Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients can now apply to volunteer to participate in the trial.

GOVERNMENTS OF CANADA AND SASKATCHEWAN INVEST IN RESEARCH ON OIL PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES

January 27, 2012 - A combined investment of over $800,000 by the governments of Canada and Saskatchewan will help the Petroleum Technology Research Centre (PTRC) and the University of Regina (U of R) study innovative recovery methods for oil and gas production, as well as reclamation of associated byproducts.

Saskatchewan leads the country in the growth of its registered nurse (RN) workforce, according to a report released yesterday by the Canadian Institute of Health Information (CIHI).

The Ministry of Government Services announced today that the old Provincial Laboratory located at 3211 Albert Street will be deconstructed beginning in February, which will assist government in reducing its footprint and costs.
