MLA for Cannington

Dan D'Autremont was born in Redvers and raised in Alida, Saskatchewan. He attended the University of Calgary between careers in the oil industry. He currently farms near Alida.

Mr. D'Autremont was first elected to the Legislature in 1991 and re-elected in 1995, 1999, 2003,and 2007 representing the Cannington constituency. He is one of the "Original Eight" founding members of the Saskatchewan Party.

During his tenure in opposition, Mr. D'Autremont served as critic for Highways, Education, Energy and Mines, Health, SaskTel, ITO, Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority and SGI. While critic for the SLGA, Mr. D'Autremont also worked closely with the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority and First Nations. He also served as the Chair of the Saskatchewan Party Caucus' Crown Corporations Committee and vice-chair of the Legislature's Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies.

Mr. D'Autremont keeps himself involved with the community as a member of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation and the South East Borderline Gun Club.

He and his wife Heather have three children.
