ADF LETTER OF INTENT DEADLINE CHANGED TO APRIL 1ST

The Agriculture Development Fund (ADF), administered by Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food, is changing the deadline date for submission of funding requests.

The deadline for researchers to submit Letters of Intent describing their ADF research plans is now April 1st rather than April 15th.

Agriculture and Food Minister Mark Wartman said this change will give researchers whose Letters of Intent have been selected by the ADF Board committees more time to complete their formal applications for funding.

"Agricultural research is the foundation of the success of Saskatchewan's agricultural industry," Wartman said. "Innovation in agriculture research has been key to our agricultural achievements in the past, and research remains vital to our success in the future. We are fortunate in Saskatchewan to have such an excellent cluster of world-class research organizations engaged in agriculture research."

The Letter of Intent process allows researchers to describe their proposed projects without having to go into the detail required for a full application. Each Letter of Intent is reviewed by ADF Board committees, and projects are selected to submit a formal application for funding.

Letter of Intent forms and more details about the program are available by e-mailing lmarinos@agr.gov.sk.ca or by phoning (306) 787-6566.
