AGRICULTURE KNOWLEDGE CENTRE BULLETIN: ANTHRAX PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS

Informational sessions for producers affected by last year’s anthrax outbreak, as well as for veterinarians and the public, will be held on:

  • Monday, Apr. 2, 7-10 p.m., Prince Albert Exhibition Centre, Exhibition Drive and 6th Avenue East, Prince Albert.
  • Tuesday, Apr. 3, 7-10 p.m., North East Leisure Centre, 206 Bermister Avenue East, Melfort.
  • Wednesday, Apr. 4, 7-10 p.m., Foam Lake Legion Hall, 404 Royal Street, Foam Lake.

Discussions include a review of the Saskatchewan 2006 anthrax situation; information on anthrax; preventative measures for the 2007 season and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency anthrax policy.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food, Western College of Veterinary Medicine and Farm Animal Council of Saskatchewan have arranged these meetings as a means of updating stakeholders on the anthrax situation in Saskatchewan.
