ENERGY AND RESOURCES DEPUTY MINISTER APPOINTED

Deputy Minister to the Premier Garnet Garven today announced the appointment of Kent Campbell to the position of Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Resources.

Campbell was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Secretariat in April 2007 and has served as Acting Deputy Minister of Energy and Resources since the summer of 2008.

Campbell has undergraduate degrees from the University of Regina, an MBA from Queen's University and is a Certified Management Accountant. Campbell has worked for the provincial public service since 1996, primarily in the areas of economic development and innovation.

"Kent Campbell has a strong track record of success in the provincial public service, particularly in the areas of economic development, innovation and in working with our resource sectors," Premier Brad Wall said. "I am pleased that he has accepted this senior responsibility."
