SETTLEMENT REACHED WITH DOCTORS
The Government of Saskatchewan, Keewatin Yatthé Regional Health Authority (KYRHA) and Drs. Andrew Judd and Teja Rossmeisl are pleased to announce that a settlement has been reached in legal action brought by the physicians against the Health Authority and the Province.
The dispute arose as a result of the early termination, by the Health Authority, of a contract for services to be provided by a group of physicians including Drs. Judd and Rossmeisl.
The Province and KYRHA wish to state categorically that there is not and has never been any issue with the professionalism and ability with which Drs. Judd and Rossmeisl provided medical care to their patients. Both are dedicated physicians of high calibre with demonstrated commitment to serving their patients.
Drs. Judd and Rossmeisl wish to acknowledge that officials of both KYRHA and the Government acted with dedication in carrying out their responsibilities. The physicians further wish to recognize the efforts of the Province in engaging all parties in working toward a resolution.
All parties wish to acknowledge the role of the Saskatchewan Medical Association in supporting the process which led to the resolution of this dispute.
