CENTENNIAL CONCERTS WILL HIT SASKATCHEWAN THIS SUMMER

The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation and the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts are celebrating Saskatchewan's Centennial by supporting an entertainment showcase called the Centennial Concert Series. The Centennial Concert Series will present local and nationally recognized talent in four cities: Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon and Regina.

"The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation is recognized for support of diversity, culture, and quality of life in Saskatchewan's communities, and through its support of entertainment initiatives such as the Centennial Concert Series," Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation Joanne Crofford said. "These concerts will help support centennial celebrations in our communities."

The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation (SGC) and the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts are providing a concert series made up many well-known Saskatchewan artists, along with Canadian artist Tom Cochrane as the headliner at each show. Each show is free to the public and is open to all ages.

"The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation is delighted to play a part in the celebration of Saskatchewan's 100th year," President and CEO of Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation Marty Klyne said. "The Centennial Concert Series will help to bring a sense of pride to our communities by showcasing local and nationally recognized talent – it really says a lot about the great talent we have right here in our wonderful province."

"We are excited to be involved in the Centennial Concert Series and really see this as part of our mandate – to share the value of arts and culture with Saskatchewan communities," Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts Chair JP Ellson said.

In addition to Tom Cochrane as the headliner, the Centennial Concert Series will feature Saskatchewan artists: Kyle Riabko, Donny Parenteau, Jason Plumb, Conrad Bigknife, Eileen Laverty and Megan Lane & Deep Set Soul.
