News Release - March 23, 2009 NEW PROMOTIONS IN SASKATCHEWAN'S PROVINCIAL PARKSThe Government of Saskatchewan is offering two promotions to encourage more people to get out and enjoy the provincial parks. Saskatchewan's provincial parks are waiving the park entry fee on weekdays (Monday through Thursday inclusive) from May 18 to June 24. Regular park entry fees will apply on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during this period. Regular camping fees are also required from those who choose to camp during this period. Saskatchewan's provincial parks are offering another deal for those who wish to camp for an extended period between May 18 to June 24. They can book 30 consecutive nights of spring camping for the price of 21 nights. Those taking advantage of this offer will also get free park entry during their entire 30-night stay. "These promotions offer people the opportunity to visit our beautiful parks at discounted rates and enjoy them during a less busy time," Tell said. "While summer is traditionally the most popular time to visit the parks, spring offers a unique and equally enjoyable experience." Thirty-night camping spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis or can be reserved through the Reserve-a-Site program which can be found at www.saskparks.net.
