ENERGY AND RESOURCES DEPUTY MINISTER KENT CAMPBELL HONOURED

Saskatchewan's Deputy Minister of Energy and Resources Kent Campbell was recognized today as one of Canada's Top 40 under 40.

Established in 1995, Canada's Top 40 under 40 celebrates the achievements of 40 Canadians in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, who have reached a significant level of success before the age of 40.

Campbell has served very successfully in the Saskatchewan Public Service in increasingly senior positions. He has played key roles in a variety of projects of significant benefit to the province.

Energy and Resources Minister Bill Boyd congratulated Campbell on his accomplishment.

"It is a pleasure to work with Kent daily," Boyd said. "He brings a thoughtful dedication to his work, understanding the important balance between fostering development of our resources and doing so in a responsible and sustainable fashion."

Criteria used in evaluating the nominee's for the program include: Vision and Leadership, Innovation and Achievement, Impact, Growth/Development Strategy, and Community Involvement and Contribution

"Kent was nominated by external stakeholders," Boyd said. "His leadership and vision for Saskatchewan's resources is well known and his commitment to service is widely recognized. I especially want to pass along congratulations and a heartfelt thank you to Kent on behalf of Premier Wall, the Saskatchewan government and all the people of our province."

The Top 40 under 40 program is designed to promote mentorship and professional development by introducing these leaders to the established business community and by promoting them as role models for young Canadians.
