PROVINCIAL HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR THE WEEK
Highways and Infrastructure Minister Wayne Elhard reminds motorists to be aware of new and ongoing projects when travelling this week and to drive safely.
"I want to once again remind motorists to plan the safest and most efficient routes before travelling and to keep Orange Zone safety in mind," Elhard said. "Remember, drivers who exceed 60 km/h when passing a highway worker face a base fine of $140."
New work that has recently started includes about 18 kilometres (km) of construction work on Highway 8 near Redvers, almost 16 km of resurfacing on Highway 11 near Kenaston, 9 km of microsurfacing on Highway 16 near Borden and about 11 km of construction work on Highway 106 near Smeaton. For more details about this new work and other ongoing projects, please see the attached backgrounder.
