News Release - September 16, 2011 RECONSTRUCTION OF GRID ROAD 777 NEAR LAKE LENORE COMPLETEDThe Saskatchewan Watershed Authority is pleased to announce that reconstruction of Grid Road 777 near Lake Lenore is now complete.
Grid 777, in the Rural Municipality of Three Lakes, was flooded in the spring of 2010 due to the federal order to prevent flow from Houghton Lake to Lenore Lake. To comply with the federal order, Saskatchewan Watershed Authority had to block flow from Houghton Lake, causing a large increase in lake level and flooding a section of Grid 777. This completes the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority obligation to rebuild the road. The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority leads management of the province's water resources to ensure safe drinking water sources and economic, environmental and social benefits for Saskatchewan people. -30- For more information, contact:
