News Release - October 19, 2012 TWO SASKATCHEWAN EMPLOYERS GUILTY OF LABOUR STANDARDS VIOLATIONSTwo companies have pleaded guilty to numerous Labour Standards Violations and were fined a combined total of $1,690. Grill House Café Inc., formerly operating in Davidson, pleaded guilty to two charges under The Labour Standards Act and has been fined $400 in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
Impact Security Group Inc., an employer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba with security businesses operating in both Regina and Saskatoon, has pleaded guilty to four charges under The Labour Standards Act and has been fined $1,290 in Regina Provincial Court.
The Labour Standards Division of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety supports fair and equitable workplace practices through public awareness and enforcement of The Labour Standards Act and Regulations as well as other labour legislation. Whenever necessary, violations will be prosecuted.
