SASKATCHEWAN’S PROVINCIAL SECRETARY TO ENGAGE WESTERN CONSULAR CORPS

Provincial Secretary Donna Harpauer will be in Vancouver and Calgary September 13-14 to share Saskatchewan's story to members of each city's Consular Corps representing over 80 countries. The presentation will focus on the exceptional quality of life, our growing economy and the vast natural resources that our province has to offer.

"Over the last five years Saskatchewan has dramatically increased trade with other nations and it's important to build on the momentum that we have generated with our international partners," Harpauer said. "But that only tells half the story. The people of this province are creative, industrious and hard working and we want those partners to know that Saskatchewan is not only a great place to do business but is one of the best places in Canada to live and raise a family."

The Consular Corps of Vancouver and Calgary consists of more than 80 member countries, including the United States, China, and Japan. During her trip, Harpauer will also hold individual meetings with a number of Consul Generals. Future presentations are planned for Ottawa and Toronto.

The Office of the Provincial Secretary works with government, organizations and communities, to provide opportunities to celebrate and promote the diversity, character and achievements of our province and to engage diplomats and Consular Corps who visit Saskatchewan as part of government's strategy to strengthen and build regional, national and international relationships.
