WEEKEND UPDATE FOR CONSTRUCTION

Highways and Infrastructure Minister Wayne Elhard would like motorists to be aware of new and ongoing projects when travelling this weekend and to drive safely.

"Take some time to plan the safest and most efficient route for your weekend travel," Elhard said. "Please slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment, be alert and be prepared to stop as directed."

Highway 7

  • Construction of a truck climbing lane is underway on Highway 7 near Flaxcombe. Speeds may be reduced through the construction zone.

Highway 35

  • Micro-surfacing is underway on Highway 35 from 18 kilometre (km) north of its junction with Highway 15 to 7 km north at Bankend. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.

Highway 39

  • Micro-surfacing is underway on Highway 39 from 0.5 km west of its junction with Highway 6 to 9 km northwest at Wilcox. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.

Highway 51

  • Micro-surfacing is underway on Highway 51 from just east of its junction with Highway 21 at Kerrobert to about 8 km northeast of the junction. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.

Highway 303

  • Twenty-three km of resurfacing is taking place on Highway 303 from its junction with Highway 26 at Turtleford to its north junction with Highway 21. Traffic may be reduced to one lane through the construction area.

Highway 317

  • Micro-surfacing is underway on Highway 317 from its junction with Highway 31 to 5.5 km south and from about 10 km south of the junction to about 16 km south of the junction at Cactus Lake. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.
