News Release - February 14, 2011 PREMIER WELCOMES “PLEDGE TO SASKATCHEWAN” FROM POTASHCORP300 People Working in Saskatoon Head Office Within Two Years Premier Brad Wall today accepted detailed commitments of the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan's (PotashCorp) "Pledge to Saskatchewan." In a letter to Premier Wall from its President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Doyle, PotashCorp outlined further details of its "Pledge to Saskatchewan" which was first announced last October. The letter outlines specific targets for increasing the number of people working for PotashCorp in Saskatchewan, both at its Saskatoon head office and in its mines:
Wall said the employment increases represent a major commitment to Saskatchewan. "That's more than 600 more people working for PotashCorp in Saskatchewan by 2015," Wall said. "PotashCorp is an important part of the new era of growth in the new Saskatchewan and I thank them for their strong commitment to our province." In its letter, PotashCorp's "Pledge to Saskatchewan" makes a number of other commitments, including:
"We understand the strong and mutually beneficial role that our company plays in the province, and we will always seek to do what is right for the people of Saskatchewan and the company's stakeholders," Doyle said.
