EXEMPLARY CORRECTIONS SERVICE HONOURED

Lieutenant Governor Dr. Lynda Haverstock and Corrections and Public Safety Minister Andrew Thomson today recognized 40 men and women for career achievements in the provincial and federal correctional services.

Recipients of the Corrections Exemplary Service Awards must have worked for at least 10 years in a correctional institution, parole or probation office and have demonstrated exemplary conduct and displayed excellence and devotion to duty.

"These people make important contributions to our province and communities," Thomson said. "Corrections staff help keep our communities safe and deliver effective programming for offenders that help them to reintegrate successfully back into those communities. Congratulations to all recipients."

Forty recipients received Exemplary Service Medals for at least 20 years of distinguished service with the Corrections Division of Saskatchewan Corrections and Public Safety or with the Correctional Service of Canada.
