CASINO FUNDS SUPPORT CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAMS IN KINDERSLEY AND KERROBERT
Municipal Affairs, Culture and Housing Minister Carol Teichrob
announced today that the communities of Kindersley and Kerrobert have
received $8,000 in casino profits through the Associated Entities
"The province established the Associated Entities Fund to distribute a
portion of casino profits for the benefit of Saskatchewan people,"
Hagel said. "Since the beginning of 1997 more than $4.5 million in
casino profits have been distributed throughout Saskatchewan for
programs that support children, youth and families."
The Kindersley Lions club in partnership with the Town of Kindersley
received $3,000 toward the Children's Summer Playground Program for
children ages four to 12.
The Kerrobert Youth Centre in partnership with the Kerrobert
Recreation Board received $5,000 in support of a Youth Centre Summer
Program offering a safe, supervised facility for healthy activities
and positive interaction between youth.
The Associated Entities Fund receives a portion of the profits from
Casino Regina, the Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford, the Northern
Lights Casino in Prince Albert and the Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton.
