News Release - June 1, 2010 LA LOCHE COMPANY PLEADS GUILTY TO LABOUR STANDARDS VIOLATIONP.R. Service Co. Ltd. of La Loche has pled guilty to failing to provide records under Section 66(c) of Saskatchewan's Labour Standards Act and has been fined a total of $480. This includes a fine of $400 and an $80 surcharge. The Labour Standards Branch of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour supports fair and equitable workplace practices through public awareness and enforcement of The Labour Standards Act and regulations as well as other labour legislation. Whenever necessary, violations will be prosecuted. In the past two months, Labour Standards has convicted three employers for failing to provide records to investigating officers. Five additional prosecutions against employers are currently pending.
