INVESTING IN OUR PROVINCIAL PARKS
Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Christine Tell today announced an investment of $186,250 in our provincial park system for upgrades to four park sites that will help to ensure a continued supply of safe drinking water for Saskatchewan park users.
"Our investment in upgrading potable water systems means clean drinking water will be available for the increasing number of park visitors and recreational site users," Tell said. "A safe supply of potable water can help our province's parks draw in even more visitors and make their visits more convenient and appealing."
The project will upgrade the potable water systems at Anglin Lake recreation site, Emma Lake recreation site, Narrow Hills Provincial Park and Fort Carlton Historic site. Water safety will be maintained during the upgrade process.
Anderson Pump House Ltd., of Prince Albert was awarded the contract to carry out the upgrade. Work is scheduled to be completed by September 30, 2009.
