ANNUAL SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE HONOURS VETERANS

A wreath was laid this morning at the Saskatchewan War Memorial by Deputy Premier Ken Krawetz as part of the government's annual Service of Remembrance for the Public Service.

"Today across our great province we the people of Saskatchewan gather to renew our pledge to never forget those who have served our country and those that continue to do so - and to forever hold them in our prayers and in our hearts," Wall said. "Let their sacrifice move us to always endeavour to make the world a better, safer and more peaceful place, every single day of our lives."

The Saskatchewan War Memorial is located on the Legislative grounds just west of the Legislature on Memorial Way and includes the WWI Memorial and the Memorial for WWII, the Korean War, the Afghanistan Mission and Peace Keeping Operations.
