SCN CEO RETIRES

Saskatchewan Communications Network (SCN) President and CEO Ken Alecxe has announced his plans to retire, effective March 15, 2008. Alecxe has held the position since 2004.

"SCN has greatly benefited from his leadership and on behalf of the government, I extend best wishes to Ken Alecxe," Minister responsible for SCN Christine Tell said.

In addition to serving SCN since 2004, Ken Alecxe has held senior positions in both provincial and federal governments, including serving as the Provincial Climate Change Co-ordinator and other senior management positions in such diverse areas as economic development, culture and recreation and post-secondary education.

Ken Alecxe plans to stay in Saskatchewan serving as an independent management consultant and has already agreed to share his expertise through work with the Saskatchewan government.

"As excited as I feel about moving forward, I will miss my SCN colleagues, for whom I have the utmost admiration and respect," Alecxe said.
