MINIMUM WAGE SCHEDULING ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Saskatchewan's Minimum Wage Board is scheduling oral presentations as part of the current review of the province's minimum wage. The deadline to request the opportunity to make an oral presentation is September 29th, 2004.

The Board must review the provincial minimum wage at least every two years. Saskatchewan's minimum wage has been set at $6.65 an hour since November 1st, 2002.

The Board, which is made up of two business representatives, two labour representatives and a chairperson, expects to make a recommendation to the Minister of Labour early next year.
