NORTHERN PLAINS PRODUCER CONFERENCE POSTPONED
The Northern Plains Producer Conference (NPPC) planned for January 30th, 31st
and February 1st in Winnipeg has been moved to November 13th, 14th and 15th.
The change was made because of scheduling conflicts between the large number of
commodity groups and farm organizations invited to the event.
The NPPC gathers producer representatives from two Canadian provinces and three
American states together in one location to discuss trade issues and
opportunities in the Northern Plains region.
The Commissioners of Agriculture from Minnesota and North Dakota, the Secretary
of Agriculture from South Dakota and the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Ministers of
Agriculture will still meet in Washington, D.C. on February 23rd at the
Provinces-States Advisory Group (PSAG) meeting.
Their discussions at that forum will provide a framework for the NPPC meeting
