REPORT ON LOSSES TABLED – HEALTH SYSTEM

The third-quarter report on losses of public money within Saskatchewan regional health authorities (health regions), the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency and North Sask Laundry has been tabled with the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.

The report includes matters reported to the Ministry of Health in the third quarter of the current fiscal year (October 1 to December 31, 2011).

The Ministry of Health began the process of reporting these losses in January 2011, in keeping with similar reporting by the provincial government of losses within ministries and Crown agencies.

North Sask Laundry & Support Services Ltd. is a non-profit corporation that provides laundry services to health care organizations in north-central Saskatchewan. Its shareholders are Kelsey Trail, Mamawetan Churchill River, Prairie North and Prince Albert Parkland Health Regions.
