SEEDED ACREAGE REPORT DEADLINE IS JUNE 25

Saskatchewan Crop Insurance customers are reminded to submit their completed Seeded Acreage Reports declaring all seeded acres, whether insured or uninsured, by June 25.

"Completing a Seeded Acreage Report is an important requirement of the crop insurance program, as it provides key information used to determine a producer's coverage," Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Acting General Manager Terry Dingle said. "This information is also compiled into specialized production reports that producers can use to help make more informed farm management decisions."

Beginning in 2007, customers will also be required to complete a separate Stored Grain Declaration form, enclosed with their Seeded Acreage Report package. All stored grain must be reported or it will be considered new production in the event of a claim.

Customers are encouraged to provide as much information as possible on their Seeded Acreage Reports, but must complete the minimum requirements outlined in their report package.

Personalized Seeded Acreage Reports and Stored Grain Declaration forms were mailed to customers in May and can be returned to Crop Insurance by phone, mail, fax or office visit. Seeded Acreage Reports may also be completed online via CropConnect. For more information on how to enrol in CropConnect, visit www.saskcropinsurance.com.

Customers are also reminded that June 25 is the deadline to submit claims for Unseeded Acres. Customers must report acres too wet to seed to their customer service office.
