ANNUAL SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE HONOURS VETERANS

A wreath was laid this morning at the Saskatchewan War Memorial by Premier Brad Wall as part of the government's annual Service of Remembrance for the Public Service.

"Women and men from all across our province have always fought hard for this country, its ideals and our freedom, some making the ultimate sacrifice," Wall said. "Our thoughts today should be with the families and friends of Sgt. Darby Morin of the Big River First Nation and Lt. Justin Garrett Boyes of Saskatoon. We pray that you find comfort and solace in the years ahead, knowing their sacrifice was not in vain."

The Saskatchewan War Memorial is located on the Legislative grounds just west of the Legislature on Memorial Way and includes the WWI Memorial and the Memorial for WWII, the Korean War and Peace Keeping Operations.
