JENNIFER CAMPEAU TO ATTEND MEETING OF MINISTERS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STATUS OF WOMEN

Saskatoon Fairview MLA Jennifer Campeau, on behalf of Social Services Minister and Minister responsible for the Status of Women June Draude, will attend the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Meeting of Ministers Responsible for the Status of Women in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 2 and 3. The meeting will provide participants with an opportunity to exchange insights and discuss developments in the areas of improving women's economic security, promoting women's leadership and ending violence against women.

"I am pleased to represent Minister Draude at this conference," Campeau said. "This is an excellent opportunity to come together with other jurisdictions and reaffirm our commitment to improving the status of women and girls in Saskatchewan and Canada. Significant strides have been made in the status of women over the years, and we must ensure that this momentum continues so we can bring about a better society for all."

Campeau's experiences as a First Nations woman in Saskatchewan will bring a unique perspective to the proceedings of the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Meeting of Ministers Responsible for the Status of Women.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, and Marilyn More, Minister Responsible for the Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women.
