Krawetz said today's announcements are part of the normal renewal process after a change in government.

"First of all, I wish to confirm that the Crown Presidents of the CIC Crowns enjoy the confidence of the new government and will remain in their current positions," Krawetz said. "At the same time, we are making a number of changes to the Crown boards in order to carry out the new direction and vision of our new government."

The new Chairs will be as follows:

Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) - Peter Whitmore
Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation (SOCO) - Arlene Wiks
Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) - Wayne Lorch
SaskEnergy - Rob Pletch
SaskPower - Joel Teal

SaskWater - Glen Rittinger

Krawetz also announced five persons who will serve as Vice-Chairs: Anne Lavack, SGI; Sandy Archibald, STC; Nadine Krenosky, SaskEnergy; Chief Darcy Bear, SaskTel; and Bill Wheatley, SaskPower.

Krawetz said the rest of the directors of the various Crown boards will be announced in due course.
