ROMANOW CALLS THREE BY-ELECTIONS FOR JUNE 28TH

Premier Roy Romanow today announced that provincial by-elections will

be held on Monday, June 28th, in the ridings of Saskatoon Fairview,

Regina Dewdney and Cypress Hills.



"Our government made a firm commitment to end the practice of leaving

ridings unrepresented in the Legislature," Romanow said. "Given that

a general election will not be held this spring and that much of the

work of setting the government's agenda for the coming year occurs

over the summer and in early fall, it's important to ensure these

ridings are represented."
