News Release - May 5, 2010 2010 ATHLETES COACHES AND OFFICIALS HONOUREDPremier Brad Wall held a ceremony at the Legislative Building today to honour and congratulate all of the Saskatchewan athletes, coaches and officials on a very successful 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic showing. "Over the course of four weeks, our athletes were in the hearts and homes of all Canadians, especially those here at home in Saskatchewan, and we cheered them on all the way," Wall said. "They truly did Saskatchewan proud. They competed at the highest level and represented our province and our country, so today we are celebrating their legacy." "Congratulations to our Saskatchewan athletes for their outstanding achievements and participation as part of Team Canada at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games," Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Dustin Duncan said. "These athletes are our sons and daughters, parents and partners, coaches and volunteers, friends and coworkers and now these athletes are role models for the next generation. We are so fortunate to have such great Saskatchewan athletes."
