SPRING RUNOFF INFORMATION JUST A PHONE CALL AWAY

Saskatchewan residents can once again get information on current runoff conditions in their region by calling the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority's toll-free Runoff Roundup information line (1-866-501-0888).

Runoff Roundup provides an overview of the potential runoff for the entire province, as well as more detailed information for each region of the province; northeast, northwest, southeast, east central and southwest.

The line will be updated every Wednesday throughout the spring runoff period, and will continue operating until the majority of the snowpack in each region has thawed. Transcripts of the updates are available on the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority's website at www.swa.ca.

The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority regulates and controls the flow of many water bodies such as rivers, lakes and reservoirs, and provides flood forecasting for the province.
