News Release - June 18, 2012 INFORMATION SESSIONS TO MAKE WORKPLACES SAFERThe Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety has scheduled 30 information sessions across the province to explain the new Occupational Health and Safety amendments the government passed in May 2012. Attendees will receive a guide that provides interpretations for each of the amended sections of The Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993. "These sessions are being offered to help explain the new rules before they take effect," Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister Don Morgan said. "We're very pleased to have produced our first in a series of guides to help everyone in the workplace understand their OHS-related roles and responsibilities.
