MINISTRY MAINTAINS PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS AND PAYMENTS

Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration (AEEI) is encouraging students, immigrants, employers and other ministry clients to call the ministry or check its website for information during the current disruption of postal service in Saskatchewan.

The ministry offers a wide range of services including applications for student loans, scholarships and the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. AEEI, through its Career and Employment Services Division, administers payments for community-based organizations and for individuals receiving the Skills Training Benefit.

"We want to reassure all of the ministry's clients that we have a plan in place to ensure their applications and ensuing forms get through the system," Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration Minister Rob Norris said. "The process is a little different than usual, but our partners are working with us to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible."

The ministry will either be working through partner institutions to deliver required correspondence or branch staff will call clients when required.

The ministry advises clients to either call the general inquiry number at 306-787-9478 to be directed to the appropriate branch, or to visit www.aeei.gov.sk.ca for information and instructions.
