News Release - October 22, 2009 THE WEEKLY PROVINCIAL CONSTRUCTION UPDATEMotorists are advised to be aware of ongoing provincial highways construction work. "As always, please slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment, while remembering base fines start at $140 for speeding through an Orange Zone," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter said. Construction that has recently started includes bridge work on Highway 26, about 3 km west of Loon Lake, and Highway 980, about 47 km north of Arran. This will be the last weekly provincial construction update of the season, but media advisories will be issued on a required basis and motorists can still get important travel information online at www.highways.gov.sk.ca/road-conditions/.
