ROYAL VISIT ITINERARY ANNOUNCED

Today Provincial Secretary Joan Beatty announced the itinerary for the June visit of The Princess Royal to Saskatchewan.

On June 5th, Princess Anne will receive a public welcome at the Regina Legislative Building, during which she will take part in a D-Day parade of the Royal Regina Rifles, of which she is Colonel-in-Chief. In the afternoon Her Royal Highness will visit the Regina Therapeutic Riding Association. In the evening The Princess Royal will attend a reception and dinner hosted by Premier Lorne Calvert in honour of the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings in France.

On June 6th, after attending a church service for her regiment at St. Paul's Cathedral in Regina, The Princess Royal will receive an honorary degree at a special convocation of the University of Regina. Following this, she will visit a local hospital and lay the cornerstone for the Government House Heritage Property Centennial Project. In the evening Her Royal Highness will attend a reception and dinner hosted by the Lieutenant Governor at Government House.

On June 7th, The Princess Royal will be in Saskatoon to present the Saskatchewan Protective Services Medal to recipients. In the afternoon she will be in North Battleford to attend a luncheon hosted by the Battlefords Tribal Council. Her last engagement in the province will be in the Town of Battleford, where she will attend centennial celebrations.
