MESSAGES FOR QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY ACCEPTED

Saskatchewan residents can now send their birthday greetings and congratulations to the Queen, who turns 80 today.

Books are available for the public to sign at the Legislative Building and Government House Museum and Heritage Property in Regina during regular business hours until April 30th. People can also express their congratulations through an online form which can be accessed at www.gr.gov.sk.ca.

"As Queen of Canada, Her Majesty has been close to the people of our province and shared in many of our historical events and activities," Provincial Secretary Glenn Hagel said. "I'm sure that many Saskatchewan people will take this opportunity to express their congratulations and warm wishes to her."

The Queen has been the Canadian head of state for 54 years and has visited Saskatchewan six times, including 2005 for the province's Centennial.
