SANDERSON INQUEST

An inquest into the death of Dona Sanderson will be held June 13th-16th at 10:00 a.m. at the Saskatoon Queen's Bench Courthouse, 520 Spadina Crescent East.

Sanderson, aged 42 years, died June 26th, 2005, at St. Paul's Hospital while in custody of the Saskatoon Police Service.

Section 19 of The Coroners Act, 1999, states that the Chief Coroner may direct that an inquest be held into the death of any person. In addition to establishing who died, when and where the individual died, the medical cause of death and the manner of death, the coroner's jury may make recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future. Inquests are open to the public.

Coroner Alma Wiebe of Saskatoon will preside at the inquest.
