CENTENARY FUNDS WARMAN FIRE HALL

Warman area residents are celebrating the opening of their long-awaited new fire hall, thanks to the province's Centenary Fund.

"This new modernized fire hall is another example of the diverse ways that Saskatchewan people are working with their government to ensure that the excellent quality of life we have come to expect in Saskatchewan continues," Government Relations Minister Len Taylor said. "The Government of Saskatchewan is proud to support this much needed infrastructure project which will enhance the safety and well-being of the people of Warman."

"After years of hard work and dedication, we are thrilled to be celebrating the completion of this important project," Mayor Wally Davis said. "Today, with the help of the provincial government, our dream has become a reality."

The Centenary Fund contributed $150,000 toward the cost of the construction of the fire hall in Warman.

The Centenary Fund was set up to leave a legacy of Saskatchewan's Centennial for future generations. Leading up to the centennial celebrations in 2005, the government is funding projects that are of provincial or regional interest and develop municipal infrastructure.
