News Release - April 5, 2012 MINISTER NORRIS PROMOTES SASKATCHEWAN TIES TO MIDDLE EASTAs part of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration Minister Rob Norris' job recruitment mission in Toronto today, he will take the opportunity to meet with Amir Gissen, Consul General of Israel.
"I look forward to our discussion on ideas to further strengthen opportunities for research, innovation and education partnerships between Israel and Saskatchewan," Norris said. "I am pleased that we are able to partner with the University of Saskatchewan in this international learning opportunity for students," Norris said. "This program supports the government's innovation agenda while providing the highest quality of education to undergraduate students." The initiative by the University of Saskatchewan is the latest development in growing relations between Saskatchewan and countries in the Middle East.
