PROVINCE ANNOUNCES TOP THREE FOR BEST SUMMER JOB EVER

The Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport today announced the top three candidates still in the running for the Saskatchewanderer summer job.

Andrew Konoff, Carley Winter and Karlee Goby have made it to the final round of voting. Clips from their job interviews are posted at www.saskatchewanderer.ca now and voting is open until April 18 at 11:59 p.m.

Since the Saskatchewanderer contest was launched, the site has received more than 35,000 visits and has had more than 100,000 pages viewed.

"We are excited about the amount of public interest in this project," Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Bill Hutchinson said. "The idea is to share the new Saskatchewan story with as many people as possible. The fact that thousands of people have already visited the website and viewed the contestants' videos is amazing - we hope people continue to follow the Saskatchewanderer's adventures this summer."

The Saskatchewanderer summer student will be announced in the first week of May and will start travelling and blogging shortly after that. The idea is for the student to experience everything that makes Saskatchewan special and then share their stories through writing, photos and video all posted to their blog.
