PARKS GUIDE OUT FOR 2008

The 2008 Saskatchewan Parks Guide is now available for park visitors to view and plan their summer vacations.

"Saskatchewan Provincial Parks continue to be one of the most visited destinations in Saskatchewan," Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Tell said. "The 2008 Parks Guide is an excellent resource to discover what Saskatchewan provincial parks have to offer visitors."

The Parks Guide provides information on parks fees, Reserve-A-Site, where parks are located, what natural and recreational experiences they offer and what amenities are available for park visitors. With the Saskatchewan Provincial Parks Reserve-a-Site program, there are now more campsites available to book in advance for your summer vacation. In addition to adding more sites to many of our existing Reserve-a-Site locations throughout the provincial park system, now you can reserve at Buffalo Pound, Danielson, Makwa Lake and The Battlefords Provincial Park.

Each guide has a "Wake Up Your Senses" contest coupon to cut out. Park visitors can enter to win three nights camping, a 2009 annual park pass, a $100 gas card, a free CAA membership for a year or a Saskatchewan parks' gift basket when visiting any Saskatchewan provincial park.

The 2008 Saskatchewan Parks Guide is available online at www.tpcs.gov.sk.ca/2008ParksGuide.

The Guide is available through Tourism Saskatchewan, Tourism Visitor Centres, Chambers of Commerce in 51 communities, RV dealers, and Saskatchewan Environment offices in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Swift Current, Melville and Regina.

The Guide will also be distributed the first week in May with the Regina Leader Post, Saskatoon Star Phoenix, Prince Albert Daily Herald, Moose Jaw Daily Times, and Swift Current and Saskatchewan weekly newspapers.
