PROVINCE EXPRESSES CONCERN FOR INJURED OFFICERS

On behalf of the province of Saskatchewan, Justice Minister Frank Quennell, Q.C. expressed his concern for the two RCMP members from Spiritwood, shot and injured Friday night.

"The injured officers, their families and friends are in our thoughts and prayers," Quennell said. "Our deepest thanks to the third officer involved in this incident and to the RCMP members currently engaged in the search for the perpetrator."

Quennell said the men and women who police our province are extraordinary citizens. "They unselfishly dedicate their lives to ensuring the safety and well-being of this province and its people."
