SEEDED ACREAGE REPORT DEADLINE IS JUNE 25

Saskatchewan Crop Insurance customers are reminded to submit their completed Seeded Acreage Reports declaring all seeded acres by June 25.

"We recognize this is a busy time for producers," Agriculture Minister and Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation Bob Bjornerud said. "However, completing a Seeded Acreage Report is necessary to help make other crop insurance processes, such as claim payments, more efficient."

"It is important to provide as much information as possible when completing your report because it indicates what acres are insured so coverage and premium can be calculated," Saskatchewan Crop Insurance general manager Stan Benjamin said. "Plus the information is required to process any claims a customer may have in the future."

Customers are also required to complete a separate Stored Grain Declaration form, enclosed with their Seeded Acreage Report package. All stored grain must be reported as any stored grain not reported will be considered current-year crop production in the event of a post-harvest claim.

Personalized Seeded Acreage Reports and Stored Grain Declaration forms were mailed to customers in May and can be submitted to Crop Insurance by phone, mail, fax or office visit. Seeded Acreage Reports may also be completed online via CropConnect. For more information on how to enrol in CropConnect visit www.saskcropinsurance.com.
