News Release - January 11, 2011 APG INQUESTAn inquest into the death of APG will be held January 24 through 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Travelodge Inn - Windsor Room, 4077 Albert Street in Regina, Saskatchewan. On December 17, 2009, a three year old child, known as APG was found dead in his crib by his foster mother. Section 19 of The Coroners Act, 1999, states that the Chief Coroner may direct that an inquest be held into the death of any person. The purpose of the inquest is to provide a public hearing to examine in detail the events surrounding the death of APG. In addition to establishing who died, when and where the individual died, the medical cause of death and the manner of death, the coroner's jury may make recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future.
