Premier Lorne Calvert today announced changes to deputy minister appointments within the Saskatchewan public service. Denise Haas has been appointed Deputy Minister of Regional Economic and Co-operative Development and Alan Parkinson is the new Deputy Minister of Environment.

"I am very pleased to have two extremely capable leaders assume these key positions in departments that are playing a central role in our province's economic growth and the management of Saskatchewan's natural resources," Calvert said. "Their experience as senior public servants and proven management abilities will serve their departments and Saskatchewan people well."

Denise Haas has 25 years of experience with the Saskatchewan public service, including a number of years working in the economic development field in the departments of Regional Economic and Co-operative Development and Industry and Resources.

Alan Parkinson has over 25 years of experience working in the natural resource sector in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and other provinces and territories. He has held a number of senior positions within the Saskatchewan public service, most recently as the Associate Deputy Minister with Saskatchewan Environment.
