News Release - October 2, 2007 UPGRADING TWO SCHOOLS IN PRINCE ALBERTThe Government of Saskatchewan is investing $420,000 to improve two schools in Prince Albert. "We are committed to working with school divisions to provide comfortable, well equipped and healthy learning environments for Saskatchewan students," Learning Minister Deb Higgins said. "An investment in schools and students is an investment in the future of Saskatchewan." The capital improvement projects include:
The projects announced today are part of the Government of Saskatchewan's investment of $6.1 million to improve the learning environment in 34 Saskatchewan schools. These include improvements such as roof replacement and restoration, renovations, additions, mechanical system upgrades and building system upgrades. Funding for these projects will be cost-shared with school divisions across the province. Over the past five years the Government has invested $169.2 million in capital improvements to preK-12 schools.
