ISC REDUCES FEES

In response to customer feedback, Information Services Corporation (ISC) is eliminating fees for a number of services, resulting in savings of approximately $2.6 million annually for Saskatchewan people.

"The strong Saskatchewan real estate market resulted in ISC's $23 million net income last year," Crown Corporations Minister Ken Cheveldayoff said. "ISC conducted customer consultations in spring 2008, to determine if fees could be reduced in consideration of the record profit. We are pleased to respond to the wishes of customers and provide the fee reductions they have asked for."

Effective Aug. 11, all ISC customers will benefit from the elimination of the $10 Land Registry and Plan Processing transaction submission fees and the $3 Plan List search fee.

"All ISC customers pay submission fees, and the elimination of these fees will greatly benefit those with large volumes of interests and titles," ISC president and CEO Jeff Stusek said. "Customers told us they view these fees as administrative and unnecessary. They also told us that any fee reductions must be sustainable over the long term. These fee changes address customer issues and demonstrate ISC's commitment to fair and sustainable fees over time."

Information Services Corporation is the provincial Crown corporation responsible for the administration of land titles, survey and personal property registries, as well as related geographic information and mapping systems.
