News Release - October 19, 2005 DEPUTY MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND RESOURCES APPOINTED
Premier Lorne Calvert has announced the appointment of Bruce Wilson as Deputy Minister of Industry and Resources. His appointment takes effect immediately.
Wilson has been with the Government of Saskatchewan since 1971. He began his career with the government working in a variety of engineering positions within the Petroleum and Natural Gas Division of the former Department of Mineral Resources, and assumed a series of progressively more senior positions in the former Department of Energy and Mines, and the current Department of Industry and Resources. He has served as Acting Deputy Minister of Industry and Resources since June 1st, 2005. Wilson was born and raised in Saskatchewan, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. "I am pleased that Mr. Wilson has accepted this position on a permanent basis with the Department of Industry and Resources," Calvert said.
