The charges were laid following a June 17, 2009 incident in which a Van Décor employee came in contact with a ceiling fan while installing a strobe light on the roof of a van at the business. The worker suffered injury to the back of his head and his face. Occupational Health and Safety works to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses and conducts about 4,000 worksite inspections annually to ensure standards are known, understood and enforced. -30- For more information, contact:
