MINISTER NORRIS APPOINTS ADMINISTRATOR FOR CARLTON TRAIL

Dr. William Cooke of Saskatoon has been appointed to serve as the Administrator of Carlton Trail Regional College (CTRC) under the authority of The Regional Colleges Act, effective immediately.

The appointment of Dr. Cooke replaces the previous administrator Graham Pearson.

"I would like to thank Mr. Pearson for the role he has played in helping to provide guidance and oversight to Carlton Trail as the college continues operations," Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration Minister Rob Norris said. "I am also pleased that Dr. Cooke has agreed to take on the role of interim administrator until a new board is established."

Dr. Cooke was selected through a search process conducted by the Saskatchewan Education Leadership Unit (SELU) of the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Cooke was most recently the former Director of Education with the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division. He has spent the past 37 years working as an educator and administrator in the Saskatchewan education system and holds a Ph D in Curriculum and Instruction.
